What is Therapy?

"Therapy is change!"

Therapy goes beyond immediate relief — it fosters self-awareness, helps identify and address patterns, and builds skills for empowerment and independence. It isn't about avoiding difficulties but gaining a new perspective to handle life's challenges with greater resilience. Since each individual experiences life uniquely, therapy is personalized to address specific needs and foster meaningful growth.

Therapy helps to:

Freely talk about your insecurities and vulnerabilities in a safe, non-judgmental environment

Discuss your concerns and challenges with ease, feeling heard and understood

Discover or rediscover yourself and explore your true potential

Learn to understand relationships better and improve communication

Person-Centered Approach

Based on Carl Rogers' humanistic method, emphasizing your inherent capacity for self-healing and growth. You are the expert on your own life, directing the conversation in a supportive, non-judgmental environment.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

An evidence-based treatment that helps you change unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Focuses on the present, teaching practical coping skills by challenging negative thoughts and replacing them with more rational ones.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)

An active, philosophically-based therapy developed by Albert Ellis. Helps you identify, dispute, and change irrational beliefs and unhelpful thought patterns to develop a more rational philosophy for coping with life's challenges.

Mindfulness-Based Approaches

Incorporating mindfulness techniques to help you develop present-moment awareness, reduce stress, and cultivate a more balanced relationship with your thoughts and emotions.

Eclectic & Creative Approaches

Drawing from various therapeutic modalities including Art Therapy, Reality Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Animal-assisted therapies based on your unique needs and preferences.

Although you are very young in age your mind is much mature, understanding and more over you are a person who is more human and understanding the situation and handle it wisely. I did my first counseling session with Neha almost 18 months ago. I was in a terrible state of mind and under immense mental stress. I had never tried counseling therapy before, but I was truly exhausted from fighting and managing my mental struggles alone, so I reached out to Neha as a last-ditch effort. The therapy sessions provided me with great mental relief and motivation to fight on. I learned a great deal about myself and picked up tools and tricks to cope with the emotional and mental challenges I had been going through. I still keep in touch with Neha and have a session every other month. The most important learning from the sessions with her is that awful and miserable feelings, thoughts, or situations might arise—and they might be part of my mental makeup—but my self-dependency in handling such situations and feelings has grown considerably. The best thing about her is that you feel heard and empathized with. She is able to provide comfort but also give advice and suggestions, which are meant to make you feel empowered and refrain from indulging in self-loathing. Her goal with the sessions with me was to eventually make me have fewer sessions with her—in a funny way—as I need to develop the capacity to handle emotional and mental stress on my own. I cannot emphasize enough that if you are struggling with your mental health, please reach out to a professional. And though I don't have experience with tons of counselors, I will strongly endorse Neha, and maybe my lack of experience with other counselors is mainly due to how effective and beneficial she has been for me.

I have been taking therapy from Neha from last 1 year or so (not continously but few months) and she has been helping me extensively with my anxiety, intrusive thoughts and other mental health issues related to this. I tried few other therapists in past as well but I found her suggestions and approach is very relatable and guided with examples and helps me calm down. I am still on journey and continuing with her but I can say for a fact "I would always recommend her and would always keep her as my therapist for life".

Thank you for everything you have done for me. Talking to you has made a huge difference. I feel lighter, clearer and a lot more confident now. Ups and downs are a part that I am learning to handle. The way you listen, guide and remind me to be kinder to myself really means a lot. Not just the advice but the comfort and warmth you bring that makes it so easy to open up. I am really lucky to know you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about therapy sessions, processes, and policies

Therapy can be beneficial when you're experiencing persistent emotional distress, relationship difficulties, major life transitions, or when you feel stuck in unhelpful patterns. If you're considering therapy, that itself is often a good indication that it might be helpful for you.

In the first therapy session, you can expect to discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, share concerns, provide background information, and set initial goals with your therapist. The trust and comfort with your therapist may get established in this session. The session is also an opportunity for the therapist to explain their approach, and discuss logistics.

The duration of therapy varies greatly depending on individual needs, goals, and the nature of concerns being addressed. Some people benefit from short-term therapy (6-12 sessions), while others may engage in longer-term work. We'll regularly review your progress together.

You can book an appointment through our Cal.com booking system, send a WhatsApp message to +91 8887841544, or email mindwingsera@gmail.com. I'll respond within 24 hours to confirm your appointment and provide any necessary pre-session information. Please note that advance payment is required to confirm your session.

Please provide at least 6 hours notice for cancellations and rescheduling. Sessions can be rescheduled if requested 6 hours before the scheduled time. For no-shows: first instance will not be charged (amount adjusted for rescheduled date), but second time onwards full amount will be charged. For detailed information about our policies, please refer to our policies page.

Payment is accepted via UPI and net banking. Please note that advance payment is required to confirm your session. For session fees and detailed payment information, please contact us directly. Refunds are available in case of emergencies or if you're being referred to another therapist (conditions apply - see our policies page for details).

Yes, confidentiality is a cornerstone of therapy. Everything you share is strictly confidential, with very limited exceptions related to safety (if there's immediate risk of harm to yourself or others). We'll discuss confidentiality limits in detail during our first session.
